Résumé
The South Temple of Kalapodi reveals a system of measurements for both the early archaic and the high archaic phases in which the proportions of the respective structure were conceived. For the design of the archaic peripteros in particular, an in principle simple procedure was demonstrated that established a coherent relationship between cella and peristasis. The essential components of the building were coordinated in their dimensions within a modular system and the ground plan was based on a continuous square grid. The comparison with the immediately neighbouring northern temple finally leads to the conclusion that both buildings were planned in a joint arrangement.
