Abstract

During the excavations south of the Stadium between 2006 and 2012 and the following excavations south of the South Hall in 2016 and 2017, a large number of metal objects were found in a complete or fragmented state. Most of them have since been restored. The present study focuses on the category of weapons and pieces of armour, because they were found in considerable numbers and partly in good condition, and because they allow reflection on the cause and practice of dedication in the sanctuary.
