Abstract

In the course of the excavations at Miletus' Kalabaktepe and Zeytintepe from 1985 to 1992, several hundred arrowheads were collected. Due to their shape, these specimens have been attributed to the destruction of Miletus by the Persian army in 494 B.C., a hypothesis supported by the local typological and stratigraphical features. In this article, the results of applying various analytical methodologies to these arrowheads are presented.
