Abstract
The presented excavation took place in the ibero-roman city of Torreparedones in the modern region of Andalusia. In roman times the city was restructured and saw a vast building program, which led to public spaces like a forum, a macellum and a basilica. The first excavation campaign undertaken by the universities of Tübingen and Cordoba opened two trenches in 2017. Due to the findings it seems like we found a residential area of roman times and the precursoring structres from the iberian phase. The preliminary report discusses the results of the first excavation campaign.
