Abstract
This paper discusses some building techniques of a selected group of Roman bridges in Lusitania province. Our aim is to extract, from these examples, some common indicators for the recognition of manpower in the construction of these infrastructures. In addition, this work proposes a systematic classification of different structural elements in the anatomy of Roman bridges. We will also try to set out, some concrete data on the architectural Project, like the introduction of new building materials, and technological solutions, or the evidences of migrant manpower working on similar projects in different territorial contexts.
