Abstract
This article aims to reconsider the status of the investigation of a significant ecclesiastical complex dated into the Late Antique period from the ancient ciuitas Igaeditanorum. The structures now visible around the church of Idanha-a-Velha (Portugal), corresponding to two baptisteries and a large building, consist of several interconnected spaces. Their formal and functional interpretation is our first object of study. Registration of pop-ups that have been geographically referenced through the combined use of GPS and a Laser Scan, allowed us to obtain a new mapping and the lifting of the elevations of the existing walls. We propose a reinterpretation of the main building of the Christian complex located between the wall and the church.
