Abstract

The exceptionally well-preserved archaeological layers of the Middle Bronze Age Bedeni culture at the Irmis Rka settlement in southwestern Georgia offer a great opportunity to document both the production of ceramics and their utilization by the Bedeni population. Preliminary analysis of the ceramics excavated in 2022 yields new insights into the morphological diversity, manufacturing techniques, and local production organization. This study also makes a significant contribution to the investigation of the variability within the Bedeni ceramic complex.
