Moesia und seine Truppen. Neue Diplome für Moesia und Moesia superior

Abstract

In total 20 new military diplomas are published, three of them from the reign of Vespasian for the troops of the province Moesia and seventeen from the time between AD 100 and 157 for the troops of Moesia superior. The diplomas show detailed information for different units and their dislocation, giving a more precise dating for some governors already known and providing names of other new officials. Moreover, the by now large number of diplomas shows better the operation of the imperial military administration as well as the continuous issuance of constitutions of citizenship.
