About the Journal
The journal »Mitteilungen des Deutschen Archäologischen Instituts, Athenische Abteilung« presents recent research results from Greece and its neighboring regions to a broad specialist audience. The contributions are diverse in terms of content and methodology and cover the periods from the early Aegean Bronze Age to Late Antiquity.
All articles undergo a double-blind peer-review process and are evaluated in terms of editorial and production aspects on behalf of the editorial department. The editors base their acceptance decisions on these assessments.

Band 135/2020 der »Athenischen Mitteilungen« umfasst sieben Artikel, die sich in der Zeitspanne vom 10. Jh. v. Chr. bis in die mittelbyzantinische Zeit bewegen. Die Beiträge reichen von den Votivwaffen aus dem Zeusheiligtum von Olympia über ein archaisches Marmordach auf der Athener Akropolis bis hin zu den Stadtmauern der triphylischen Städte Samikon, Plataiana und Vrestos. Es folgen Beiträge zum privaten Luxus in der Wohn- und Grabarchitektur des hellenistischen Rhodos, zum Nymphentypus von Samos-Tralles und schließlich zu Spolien im mittelbyzantinischen Stadtbild Athens.
