Abstract

As part of the Miletus Excavation various measures targeting heritage management and tourism development at the archaeological site were carried out in the 2012 campaign. One project was revising and updating a general conservation and tourism development plan for Miletus published in 1995. Monument preservation efforts concentrated on the Byzantine fortress on the theatre hill, the Baths of Faustina and Hagia Paraskevi church. As regards optimizing tourism management at Miletus, work continued on path preparation and on expanding the information provided for visitors.
