Abstract
The Klounioq oppidum, Clunia, according to classical texts, has been archaeologically established thanks to the the discovery of the republican roman military camps from the Hispania Citerior that sieged the site. The findings show that the camps building took place about the half of the first century BC, at the time of the siege by Q. C. Metelo Nepote in the 56th BC. The study of Klounioq an the republican roman camps as a whole will throw open a window on to little-known facts during the 1st century BC in the arevaca-vaccea border on the Duero river .
