Abstract

The Konya Ereğli Museum is hosting a spool shaped object and the lower part of a bronze figurine. The spool shaped object is decorated on one side with a rosette and on the other with a whirl design. The lower part of the bronze figurine is depicting two parallel legs wearing half-boots, which are standing on a platform. Both objects are unique. In this article both objects are described and analyzed. The thorough iconographic analyze shows that both objects are probably dating to the Hittite period. These objects are important evidence and present information for the lesser known Hittite history and occupation of this region.
