Aus dem Halûk Perk Museum (Istanbul): Ein weiteres Gewicht mit Nennung eines Statthaltern von Pontus et Bithynia

Abstract

A weight kept in the Halûk Perk Museum is published, bearing the name of L. Egnatius Victor Lollianus as governor of Pontus et Bithynia in the first year of the reign of Decius. The comparison with a weight published in 2005 originating from the same period and under the same governor, confirms the attribution of all weights with names of governors to the city of Nicomedia, showing also that the form of weights was independent from their unit of measurement.
