Abstract
A new Hellenistic epigram from Olympia sheds light on the well-known inscription for Deinosthenes, the Spartan victor at the Olympic games of 316 BCE (I.Olympia 171), which is also recorded by Pausanias (VI 16, 8) and is noteworthy due to the road lengths it gives.
