Abstract
This article reconsiders a newly published weight from the range of ‹governor weights› of Pontus et Bithynia and discusses it against the background of the whole series. This third weight from the governorship of L. Egnatius Victor Lollianus (in this case from 247–248 CE) shows, among other things, how Nikomedeia reacted to the increasing strain put on the city by troops passing through it: Civic dignitaries took over the agoranomia, although they were no longer obliged to do so because they were either veterans or had already held civic or provincial offices. Of the two weight systems that were used side by side for a long time, the so-called Italic litra was abandoned in favour of the heavier market litra.
