Miszelle zu ausgewählten Metallbarren aus unterwasserarchäologischen Kontexten entlang der Ostküste der Iberischen Halbinsel

Abstract

In this paper seven lead ingots of irregular shape are presented. They come from the Bay Playa del Saladaret, north of Torrevieja (Prov. Alicante); an anchorage, which had, at least in modern, the possibility of fresh water supply by a well located near the coastline. The archaeological material comes from different times; the dating of the lead ingots is difficult on the one hand due to their atypical shape and one the other hand due to the uncertain context. Finally, the analytical results of further analyzed selected metal objects of submarine provenance, such as some caming from the wreck sites of Bajo de la Campana, are here introduced.
