Abstract
By using orthorectified aerial photographs, remote sensing data and on-site long-term GPS measurements, the orientation of the Hellenistic Apollo temple at Didyma and the local coordinate system of the excavation were exactly defined for the first time. Moreover, the rich image material was used to create an optimized and evenly exposed isometric top view of the Hellenistic temple ruin.
