1. Users must provide their contact details when they register. All the information they provide when registering must be truthful and candid.
2. Users must keep their login data secret and protect it from use by third parties. Login data may only be used by the registered user. Users’ liability for third-party use of their data is based on the relevant laws and regulations.

Copyright

Unless otherwise stated in individual cases, the contents (texts, photos, graphics) and their design/presentation (layout, metadata etc.) published on the website of the German Archaeological Institute’s publication archive, iDAI.publications, are protected by copyright under the Federal Republic of Germany’s Act on Copyright and Related Rights. Use of the content is restricted to private users for their own academic and other personal use. To this end, users may download and print small sections in addition to researching and viewing material on screen. Systematic or automated downloading of data is not permitted. All commercial use is prohibited. Any other use of the content not permitted under the Act on Copyright and Related Rights requires the prior express consent of the German Archaeological Institute. This applies in particular to the duplication, editing, translation, storage, processing or reproduction of content in databases or other electronic media and systems. For information on licensing rights of use, please contact the responsible editors at the relevant publishers, whose contact details you will find on the cover pages, or the German Archaeological Institute (idai.publications@dainst.de).

Exclusion from Use

The German Archaeological Institute may temporarily or permanently block access to the iDAI.publications web portal for good cause. Good cause exists if personal data is not entered truthfully, third parties’ login data is used, or the Terms of Use are violated.

Liability Disclaimer

The German Archaeological Institute makes every effort to ensure that the material on its website is always up to date, correct and complete. Nevertheless, errors cannot be completely ruled out. The German Archaeological Institute does not assume any liability for the information provided in its website being up to date, correct or complete unless the errors were made deliberately or through gross negligence. This applies to any material or non-material damages to third parties caused by use of this website. All services are subject to change and non-binding. The German Archaeological Institute expressly reserves the right to amend, supplement or delete parts or all of the website content or to cease publication temporarily or permanently without prior notice.

External Information and links

The German Archaeological Institute hereby expressly states that in cases of direct or indirect references (hyperlinks) to external websites for which it is not responsible, no illegal content could be detected on the linked pages at the time hyperlinks were added. The German Archaeological Institute undertook all technically possible and reasonable efforts to inspect this content. It has no influence whatsoever on the current or future design, content or authorship of the linked sites and therefore expressly distances itself from all content on all linked sites changed after the links were added. This statement applies to all links and references in its own website, entries by third parties in visitor books, discussion forums, link directories and mailing lists set up by the German Archaeological Institute and in all other forms of databases whose content can be modified externally. Liability for illegal, inaccurate or incomplete content and in particular for damages arising from the use or non-use of such information shall lie solely with the provider of the linked external site, and not with the provider of links to this site. Should the German Archaeological Institute have provided links to pages whose content gives cause for complaint, please inform our internet editorial team.
