Abstract
New publication of a 10-letters inscription, that J. M. Fossey, The Ancient Topography of Eastern Phokis, 1986, 161–162, reported as «enigmatic» and that R. Stroud, SEG 36, 529 characterized as «a gaming table». It is actually an abacus, engraved in the 4th or 3rd century BC. We can see the abbreviations of the financial accounting «Mina Stater Obol» system, also common in Delphi at the same time. This abacus was maybe used not as a horizontal table, but as a vertical board, which was written on with erasable materials.
