Abstract
This paper will present 14 previously unpublished funerary inscriptions from Miletus. The texts are distributed chronologically over more than five centuries (4th c. BC to 3rd c. AD) and are published, translated and commented on in more or less chronological order. The inscriptions offer new insights particularly in the fields of prosopography and onomastics. On the basis of detailed information, it is possible to establish the genealogy of previously unknown families from Miletus and at the same time to identify more precisely the family relations between already known prominent families of the city. With regard to onomastics, the personal names Πιθηκίς, Μαραῖος and Εὐήθιος deserve attention.
