Résumé
TIME TRAVEL TO NIYA
This is two books in one.
The first presents facts and images from the Silk Road Fashion archaeological project. It reports on research into the ten-piece wardrobe of a lady who lived in the Niya oasis in eastern Central Asia some 2000 years ago. Her garments are evidence of sophisticated tailoring, stylistic plurality and attention to detail. They display all the qualities we still value in good clothing today.
The second part is a graphic novel in which readers can travel with PEN to Niya and beyond. PEN had the freedom to make own discoveries, and we were surprised at how this journey turned out. Our book is recommended for fashionistas and archaeologists, young and old, experts and amateurs alike.
