Pergamenische Forschungen
The Hellenistic-Roman city and royal residence of Pergamon has been one of the largest excavations by the German Archaeological Institute for 120 years. While the excavation began in 1878 with the aim of recovering the reliefs from the Pergamon Altar that became known at the time, the focus has been on systematic research into the entire ancient city organism for over 100 years.
The series Pergamenische Forschungen mainly publishes studies of individual types of finds, but also comprehensively presents architectural complexes. This series offers the opportunity to present detailed research and complex excavation results from Pergamon in detail.
