Topographische Bildlexika

The publications of the Topographische Bildlexika present a rich pictorial documentation – arranged in alphabetical order – of important ancient cities such as Rome, Athens or Istanbul as well as cultural landscapes with a high density of ancient monuments such as Attica or the holy Mount Athos. Each entry has a concise text, a selected representative bibliography and extensive pictorial material consisting of detailed photographs, plans and drawings. The pictorial lexicons combine condensed knowledge of well-known monuments with new insights. They also document little-known and inaccessible sites.
