Abstract

The article deals with the human skeletal remains that came to light in the excavations at the Copper Age settlement of Pietrele on the Lower Danube. These are regular burials in the settlement, individual bones, and depositions that can be interpreted as building sacrifices. The article is a supplement to the genetic study in Nature 620, 2023, 358–365.
